Terms of Use:

These Terms of Use must be read and agreed to by User prior to the use or access of the News Service Florida, aka News Service of Florida or The News Services of Florida, Inc. ("NSF") Website.  Your use of this site  or subscription to any service offered by NSF constitutes your agreement to these terms.  NSF may deny access to this site to anyone who violates these terms of use in NSF's sole discretion.

Proprietary Information.  The Website comprises information and materials proprietary to NSF and all information and materials are protected under federal and state laws.  As such, the materials and information contained therein may not be compiled, sold, or distributed in any form and may only be used for its intended purpose.  NSF all rights in such materials and information.

Registration.  Access to some or all of the content, services and features of the Website may require User to register and become a subscriber.  User may not impersonate anyone else when registering.  If User registers with NSF, User accepts responsibility for all activities that occur under User's account whether or not User authorized them.  User is responsible for keeping User's username and password confidential and preventing others from accessing the Website with User's account.  User may not access the Website with anyone else's username and password.  User may not allow others to use User's username and password without NSF's written approval.  If User believes a username and password is no longer secure, User must notify NSF immediately.

Intellectual Property. All of the Website's content, including but not limited to text, articles, photographs, images, graphics, videos, audio recordings, trademarks, logos and service marks, is owned by The News Service of Florida, Inc. and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws, meaning, among other things:
The site's content is for your personal, non-commercial use.
If you are not an authorized subscriber, any material you copy must be exclusively for your personal, non-commercial use and that copy must retain copyright, trademark and other ownership notices contained in the material.
Storing or archiving any significant portion of the content or creating a database using the content is prohibited.
Any other activity or use of this site that is a violation of United States intellectual property laws or international treaties, including but not limited to copying other than on an isolated basis for personal use; modifying the content; and publishing, transmitting, creating derivative works from, transferring, selling or displaying the content of the site, is prohibited.
You may not use the content in any way not specifically provided for in this agreement without the specific written consent of NSF.  Except as specifically authorized by NSF in writing, you may not sublicense, market, sell or distribute the content of this Website or any subset thereof in any manner or medium.
You may not remove, alter or obscure any copyright or trademark notices contained in the content of the Website or interfere with any copyright protection mechanisms contained therein.
Authorized Subscribers:
Posting Online – Subscribers may post online only one (1) same day NSF story per day if credit is given to the News Service of Florida and its reporters.
Forwarding Emails – Subscribers may forward only one (1) NSF email per week if credit is given to the News Service of Florida and its reporters.
Printed Material - Subscribers may print only one (1) same day NSF story per day and up to two (2) previous day stories.  Previous day stories are at least 24 hours old.  Subscribers are allowed to use such printed material as a source for their own story/publication if credit is given to the News Service of Florida and its reporters.
On Tap, Advances & Roundup may not republished.

Reporting Claims of Copyright Infringement.  We take claims of copyright infringement seriously. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law. If you believe any materials accessible on or from this Website infringe your copyright, you may request removal of those materials (or access to them) from the Website by submitting written notification to our Copyright Agent (designated below). In accordance with the Online Copyright Infringement Liability Limitation Act of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) ("DMCA"), the written notice (the "DMCA Notice") must include substantially the following:

Use of Submissions.  Any suggestions or ideas submitted by User to The News Service of Florida or The News Service of Florida's Website become the sole property of The News Service.  

Third-Party Websites.  The Website may contain links to third-party websites.  These links are provided solely as a convenience to User and not as an endorsement of the third-party or the contents of the third-party websites by NSF.  NSF is not responsible for the content of linked third-party Websites and does not make any representations regarding the content or accuracy thereof.  User accesses linked third-party Websites at User's own risk.

Unlawful or Prohibited Use.   As a condition of User's use of this Website, User warrants to NSF that User will not use this Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions and notices. 

Indemnifications.  User agrees to indemnify and hold The News Service of Florida, Inc., its subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents harmless from any third-party claim, damage or demand, including attorneys’ fees, relating to or arising out of User's use of the Website or violation of these terms, conditions and notices, User's representations and warranties, or User's violation of any rights of another. 

User further agrees to indemnify and reimburse The News Service of Florida, Inc. for any and all expenses and costs (including but not limited to, attorneys’ fees, court costs, travel, express-courier costs and photocopying expenses) which The News Service of Florida, Inc. may sustain as a result of User’s breach of this Agreement.  This obligation specifically applies to, but is not limited to, any actions The News Service of Florida, Inc. takes to enforce this Agreement.

Severability. If for any reason any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the intent of the parties as reflected in that provision, and the remainder of the Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

Choice of Law.  NewsServiceFlorida.com is controlled, operated and administered from its offices within Tallahassee, Florida. This agreement between NSF and its users shall be governed and interpreted under the laws of the State of Florida. You hereby agree that any cause of action you may have with respect to the Website must be filed in a federal or state court located in the State of Florida. The sole venue for any legal action that concerns this agreement, content on this site, or use of this site shall be Leon County, Florida.
