TINA LIGHTEL has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis as an Escambia County judge. Lightel, of Pensacola, is an assistant regional counsel in the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel.
NICHOLAS ALLARD has been named founding dean of the Jacksonville University College of Law. Allard is senior counsel with the Dentons law firm.
MICHELLE BARTON KING has been named chairwoman of the Board of Directors of United HomeCare. Barton King is a partner in the law firm Boyd Richards Parker Colonnelli.
ANGELA MORRISON has joined the law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP as a senior attorney in Miami. Morrison, an environmental and natural resources attorney, has worked at Earth & Water Law PLLC.
GREGORY BILLMAN AND STEVEN “REEVES” VALENTINE have been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Florida Defense Support Task Force. Billman, of Key West, is owner and chief executive officer of GTOPS Inc. Valentine, of Winter Park, is vice president of enterprise sustainment solutions at Lockheed Martin.
ROBERT BENSON, SHELDON BERNAU AND BRUCE CUMINGS have been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Board of Pilot Commissioners. Benson is a retired partner with Crow Horwath LLP. Bernau is a vice president and senior relationship manager at Synovus Trust Co. Cumings is a harbor pilot with the Port Everglades Pilots Association.
THOMAS “JASON” HODGE, BRIAN SEUTER AND MICHAEL JACCOMA have been appointed or reappointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Board of Pilot Commissioners. Hodge is a sales and marketing manager with SSA Atlantic. Seuter is a harbor pilot with Checkmate of Amelia. Jaccoma is a harbor pilot for Biscayne Bay Pilots.
ALICIA BESHEARS has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis as the Taylor County superintendent of schools. Beshears, of Perry, previously worked as grants coordinator for the Taylor County School Board.
MICHAEL GREENWELL has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Lee County Commission. Greenwell, of Alva, is owner of 31 Produce and is treasurer of Big League Builders.
