SIERRA FAREED, CHRISTIAN ULVERT, CLAIRE VANSUSTEREN AND TIM WAGNER have been named by Senate Minority Leader Lauren Book, D-Plantation, to positions with Democrats’ Senate Victory campaign organization. Fareed, who will serve as finance director, most recently worked as finance director at Ruth's List Florida. Ulvert, who will serve as a general consultant, is founder and president of EDGE Communications. VanSusteren, who will serve as communications director, is founder and president of CVS COMMS. Wagner, who will serve as political director, worked in 2020 as political director for the federal independent-expenditures program for the Environmental Defense Fund.

AAKASH PATEL has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Hillsborough Community College Board of Trustees. Patel, of Tampa, is founder and president of Elevate Inc.

ISMARE MONREAL AND MICHAEL BILECA have been reappointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Miami Dade College Board of Trustees. Monreal, of Miami, is acting vice president and dean of students at Johnson and Wales University. Bileca, of Miami, is executive director of the Dennis Bileca Institute for Character and Excellence and is a former member of the Florida House.

JOSE DANTE PARRA, ANGIE NIXON, JORGE MURSULI AND BEN TYLER have been named to positions with the Florida Democratic Party. Parra, who will serve as senior communications adviser, previously was a senior adviser to former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. Nixon, who will serve as field and organizing director, represents Duval County’s House District 14 in the Florida House. Mursuli, who will serve as voter registration director, has served as national vice president of Hispanic affairs for People for the American Way. Tyler, who will serve as in-house counsel, most recently worked as a regional voter protection director for the Biden-Harris Coordinated Campaign in Georgia.

VANESSA ROLON, KYLE PATTERSON AND MICHELLE SIERRA have been named to positions with the Florida Democratic Party. Rolon, who will serve as municipal victory director, has worked as data director for New Virginia Majority. Patterson, who will serve as finance director, has previously worked as finance director for the North Dakota Democrats. Sierra, who will serve as deputy finance director, worked as national finance assistant on the re-election campaign of U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill.

STEVEN OUTLAW has been named by Tallahassee Community College as executive director of the Florida Public Safety Institute. Outlaw recently retired from the Tallahassee Police Department, where he served as interim police chief.

ALBERT “BO” BOULENGER has been named president and CEO of Baptist Health South Florida. Boulenger is currently the health system’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.

REID MOORE has been appointed to the board of Planet Startup. Moore, an attorney, is a former member of the Florida House and former mayor of West Palm Beach.

CHARLES BROADWAY has been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Criminal and Juvenile Justice Information Systems Council. Broadway, of Groveland, is the Clermont police chief.

MICHAEL KESSIE AND JAMES SEWELL have been appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission. Kessie, of Bradenton, is the New College of Florida police chief. Sewell, of St. Petersburg, is a former assistant commissioner of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
