An administrative law judge Friday recommended that former lawmaker Daphne Campbell face a public censure and a $15,000 fine for leaving information out of financial-disclosure forms. Judge Brittany Finkbeiner issued a 16-page recommended order that said Campbell, D-Miami, filed inaccurate disclosure forms for 2013, 2015 and 2017. The inaccuracies involved issues such as failing to disclose a mortgage note, a code-enforcement lien and a federal tax lien. The Florida Commission on Ethics found probable cause in 2019 that Campbell had violated disclosure laws, leading to the case going to the administrative law judge for a hearing. Campbell served in the House from 2010 to 2016 and in the Senate from 2016 to 2018.
